Fourth Rate Colour Study.
So I've been at my new job for a shade over 4 months now and so far I'm largely enjoying it. I am privileged enough to have my own office, which is lovely, if a little dark. To try and counteract this I have bought (or more accurately been given as a Christmas present) a plant for it, which is doing just fine thankyou very much. The only other splash of colour comes from a picture that was there when I arrived. 
And I don't like it. The title of the picture is "Farbstudie Quadrate", which if my German is as sound as I believe it to be translates to something like "Fourth Rate Colour Study", which if anything is generous. I don't, however, feel like I've been there long enough to start taking down their pictures and putting up my nice picture of a mountain that I also got given as a present; so I guess I'll put up with it.

I've been at my current job for two years and I *still* haven't put up a single picture of my own.
I say "Go for it". Make a stand for the little people. Like me.

I haven't really had the neccessary time or internet access recently but maybe I'll give it a go. I'm not sure that I'll be able to do the nicely gradiated top bar but I'll have a play. Consider me inspired.
